This year’s FOA Excellence Awards spotlight individuals who redefined expectations. Whether transforming campus logistics, building bridges across departments or leading through challenges, these honorees embody the innovation, collaboration and resilience that define UC Davis.
Since 2020, the Staff Emergency Fund has provided nearly $375,000 in vital assistance to hundreds of staff members facing unexpected financial hardships.
UC Davis teams working with FOA Communications won two national awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, or CASE. The Davis Day of Reflection community event and IDEA$ at Work campaign were both honored with Gold awards in the 2024 CASE Circle of Excellence.
Three exceptional staff members are being recognized for the inaugural Finance, Operations and Administration Annual Excellence Awards. These awards recognize outstanding contributions in three categories: Innovation, Collaboration and Moved Mountains, celebrating individuals who embody our commitment to excellence, community and resilience.
Last year, 284 STAR awards were presented to FOA's staff members and teams to recognize their work that went "above and beyond," which included everything from emergency storm response, to inclusive leadership, systemwide payroll innovations and much more.
