Art District and Renamed Art Hall Get New Signs

New signage arrived recently to name the Maria Manetti Shrem Art District, spanning Hutchison Drive from the historic TB 9 art building to Shields Library. It bears the name of Maria Manetti Shrem in of her support of multiple disciplines and her vision to bolster collaboration among them with a holistic approach to the arts.

Emergency Showers in Publicly Accessible Areas

A Safety Services and Facilities Management pilot program is equipping emergency showers with silent alarms. These alarms notify Facilities Management when a unit is activated, enabling a rapid response to stop the flow of water and begin clean-up.

How FOA Made Our Systems More Inclusive for Everyone

FOA successfully audited 400+ systems applications and made changes to 20 to ensure that employee names and gender identities are accurately reflected as part of UC Davis’ Gender Identity and Lived Name Policy.
