We strive to make the university better every day.

To keep both the UC Davis and FOA identities standing strong, we’ve put together an approved list of division brand guidelines and marketing tools to help ensure a consistent look, feel and voice from our teams. These tools include PowerPoints, style guides, wordmarks and other tools that help capture our voice, imagery, and presence.

What is FOA’s brand?

A brand identity is the visible elements of a brand (name, wordmark, tone and tagline) that together convey how we want to be perceived; it's what makes us memorable. Branding increases awareness of who we are and what we do. It elevates our reputation and establishes us as experts in the field.

The FOA brand is friendly, memorable, and connects our work to the campus in a tangible way. The tone of our text and design is:

Through selected writing and visuals, FOA can represent itself in a unique and identifiable manner. We have built a certain tone in writing that helps us communicate with our audience in a friendly, yet professional manner. We also have created a look and feel in our visuals to help us look cohesive and part of the larger UC Davis brand.

Introduction to FOA

Finance, Operations and Administration is one of only five Vice Chancellor divisions at UC Davis. We call it FOA, and we have the distinct pleasure of serving the entire university community. Though we each play a different role within FOA, we all strive toward one underlying goal: to make the university better every day.
