Dear FOA Team,

This summer while many of our students enjoy time away from campus, FOA teams are focused not just on sprucing up physical spaces, but also on strengthening and optimizing our new financial system, Aggie Enterprise. 

On campus, I noticed a new, brightly painted crosswalk between Mrak and the Graduate School of Management, more green striped bike paths for the safety of our community, and perfectly mowed greens for our visiting Yolo High Wheelers!

Our teams within Admin IT, Finance, BIA and Supply Chain are dedicated to refining our Aggie Enterprise processes, working on technology infrastructure upgrades, and building additional help resources — including building out an AI tool to deliver help faster and easier. 

Summer isn’t only a season for operational enhancements, but a perfect time for personal renewal. Whether it’s pursuing a hobby that ignites your passion, enjoying well-deserved vacation time, or simply spending moments with friends and family, refreshing ourselves is essential.

This summer, I watched some of the U.S. Olympic track and field trials at the University of Oregon and marveled at the speed and skills of our U.S. athletes. I’m looking forward to cheering them on when the Olympics start in Paris at the end of July, but I’ll be doing so via TV! 

Your hard work, dedication and well-being are what help make our university better. Here’s to a productive summer of improvement and an enjoyable season of relaxation and fun!
