Nancy Hernandez has served as the FOA HR Director since 2016. She has 25 years of experience working in the HR industry with 19 of those years dedicated to UC Davis. Prior to that, she worked in the private industry supporting manufacturing and logistics companies. 

Nancy has spent her entire university career working in what is the Finance, Operations and Administration (FOA) division today, and possesses years of institutional knowledge especially as it pertains to FOA units. Specifically, she provides leadership and management for the human resources functions within FOA and actively partners with central Human Resources to provide strategic, analytical support and advice to the vice chancellor, the vice chancellor's executive staff, as well as managers at all organizational levels on all aspects of personnel management.

In her free time, Nancy enjoys attending her teenage childrens' competitive sporting events, visiting wineries and simply spending time with friends and her immediate and large extended family. Fun fact: she is bilingual (Spanish speaker)!
