Take care of required training, save on summer activities, see photos from our K-9 memorial and other campus updates
Dear Colleagues,
So, how many people does it take to change a light bulb? On the UC Davis campus, the answer is four.
Our four lighting technicians maintain more than 190,000 indoor lights across 1,000 campus buildings. Before learning about their work, I assumed replacing a burned-out light was as simple as swapping a bulb. It turns out keeping a campus of our size illuminated is far more complex.
