Celebrate Kelly Ratliff's 35 years of service
In a League of Her Own
The Aggie community is invited to celebrate Vice Chancellor Kelly Ratliff’s 35 years of service to UC Davis, by joining the festivities of a victorious farewell rally on her last official day working on campus.
The retirement event will start at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 13, at UC Davis Health Stadium. FOA employees are invited to start the party a little earlier, beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Wear your Aggie Pride to the stadium and enjoy UC Davis fanfare, concessions and games. Join colleagues and community members for brief comments and a photobooth.
Ratliff first came to UC Davis as an undergraduate student in 1982, to earn a bachelor's degree in zoology. She started her Aggie career as a principal clerk in the backroom of a veterinary lab in 1987, where she worked while eventually earning an M.B.A. from the UC Davis Graduate School of Management. She moved to the Planning and Budget Office in Mrak Hall in 1996.
“I feel so lucky to have built my career at a place like UC Davis, with so many amazing people with their diversity of backgrounds and experiences. The university has a little of everything,” Ratliff said, when announcing her retirement. “Who gets to do this, start as a principal clerk and end as vice chancellor? It’s pretty awesome.”
She was first appointed to lead the Finance, Operations and Administration division in 2016.
