UC Davis and the City of Davis are hosting the Davis Day of Reflection next Thursday, inviting community members to join the Davis Reflection Route for quiet contemplation, shared conversations, message displays and ribbon tying at reflection points along the way. Find out how to participate on June 1.

Campus meets student housing milestones

UC Davis is on track to meet or exceed targets it agreed to with the City of Davis, including housing 100% of enrollment growth since 2017 and having 15,000 university beds available by fall 2023 – largely through the leadership and hard work of FOA units including Campus Planning and Design and Construction Management.   • Participate in the six-month Group Mentoring Program, which pairs mentors with small groups of mentees from UC Davis and UC Davis Health for professional development. Apply to be a mentor or mentee by Friday’s deadline.
  • ⚖️  Get free immigration consultation

  • Attend a University of California Immigrant Legal Services Center workshop for consultation on employment-based visa options, family and humanitarian relief. Register by June 1 for this limited-capacity workshop.
  • 🌎  Celebrate sustainability achievements

  • Attend the upcoming Sustainability Summit where accomplishments of the past year and student, staff and faculty champions will be recognized. RSVP for the June 2 event.
  • 🏌️  Hit the greens

  • Join fellow staff members at the Thank Goodness for Staff golf tournament on June 3. Register by the end of Friday.
  • 🙋  Assess your management skills

  • Participate in the Management Skills Assessment Program, a UC-wide initiative designed to help early-career supervisors grow as effective leaders through a three-day in-person training. Apply with supervisor support by June 9.
  • ⚾️  Enjoy baseball with fellow staff members

  • Watch the Sacramento River Cats alongside Staff Assembly members, while supporting staff scholarships. Get your tickets for the June 9 game.
  • 🦠  Get up-to-date on vaccine policy

  • A change to the UC COVID-19 Vaccine Policy now allows employees and students to opt out of the COVID-19 vaccine by submitting a declination statement. Read more at the Campus Ready website.
