Digest: Reimagined return to Work

Submit comments on proposed vaccine mandate

The UC Office of the President has proposed a policy that would require all personnel, with limited exemptions, to receive a COVID-19 vaccine to access facilities. UCOP is taking comments and questions from the university community through May 31. Please send questions/comments about the proposed COVID-19 vaccination policy via email.
Planning a reimagined workplace
As plans for resuming in-person instruction and activities in the fall are being implemented, a plan to return to onsite work for staff is being developed. The Workplace Reimagined Working Group is finalizing guidelines to help departments plan for staff returning to the workplace and entering long-term flexible work arrangements, and has released these milestones:
- Now - July 1: Arrangements will stay as they are now.
- July 1 - Sept. 1: New hybrid arrangements, guided by operational needs will start to be implemented.
- After Sept. 1: Long-term flexible arrangements for workplaces will be formalized.
Symptom Survey integrating with COVID-19 tests
Starting this Friday, the UC Davis Daily Symptom Survey will be integrated with COVID-19 testing information in Health e-Messaging to automatically determine if you meet requirements by checking whether you have a negative test result from the last 7 days or a UC Davis COVID-19 screening appointment scheduled for the same day. If you were tested by a non-UC Davis provider, you must upload your results to HEM under "Form Upload" to be captured by the survey.
