Ratliff announces retirement plans after 35 years

FOA’s Vice Chancellor Kelly Ratliff started working for UC Davis after graduating with her bachelor’s degree, as a “principal clerk” in the backroom of a veterinary lab in 1987 – and this week announced she plans to retire in May 2022.

“I feel so lucky to have built my career at a place like UC Davis, with so many amazing people with their diversity of backgrounds and experiences. The university has a little of everything,” she said. “Who gets to do this, start as a principal clerk and end as vice chancellor? It’s pretty awesome.”

With eight months to go, FOA employees can expect to hear more from Ratliff on collaboration, the joys of working on campus and getting back to our new normal.
