Jennifer Eting drives the team's communication strategy for the business and finance units of the division and the UC Davis Police Department. In her role as assistant director, she leads a wide variety of communication campaigns and long-range strategies.
A recent example of Eting’s leadership in communications is the award-winning IDEA$ at Work campaign, which engaged UC Davis and UC Davis Health employees in sharing innovative ideas for cost reductions and revenue growth, helping to mitigate the budget deficit. In her ongoing work with Budget and Institutional Analysis, she develops strategic communication plans, website content, presentations and videos to help the campus community understand the budget challenges and engage in the budget process.

Her training enables her to align communications with best practices in change management to support organizational transitions. Recent examples can be seen in major technology change initiatives, like UCPath and Aggie Enterprise.
She also spearheaded the collaborative efforts to reimagine the UC Davis Police Department website and develop a transparency dashboard, which became a model for accountability among UC and CSU police departments.
Previously, Eting led the marketing and communications team for Campus Recreation and the UC Davis Stores and managed a portfolio within Student Affairs Marketing and Communications.
Eting earned a Master of Communication Management (MCM) from University of Southern California and a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from UC Davis. With a strong commitment to professional learning and development, she participated in the UC Women’s Initiative, earned a Certificate of Marketing from UC Davis Continuing Education, and is now pursuing an Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) through the Public Relations Society of America.
