Janice Corbett is the Business Manager of the Associated Students of the University of California, Davis (ASUCD). In this role, Janice works with the ASUCD Student Government Officials, Controller and Unit Directors to ensure a financially stable, cost effective, fully viable service Association. Janice has a proven track record of and is intensely passionate about developing leaders for tomorrow’s society, while developing the capacity of the individuals and the ongoing systems of the organization.

Previously, Janice worked eight years in the private sector financial services arena and the most recent 9.5 years with the Cal Aggie Alumni Association (CAAA) in various revenue generating and management roles. She graduated from the University of California, Davis with a bachelor’s degree in managerial economics and a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She also earned an M.B.A. from Golden Gate University. In 2012, she was awarded a Forman Fellowship, through the Council of Alumni Association Executives (CAAE), one of only two awarded in the nation per year.

As a student, Janice was very active at UC Davis. She served as the Assistant Business Manager for ASUCD for three years and also served on the Picnic Day Board. She was a Program Advisor in the residence halls and served on the Student Alumni Association (SAA). She was also a member of the Student Activities Advisory Committee and served on the Campus Unions and Recreation Board (CURB).

After graduation, Janice worked for the Institute for Fiduciary Education as an international event planner helping to organize pension fund investing seminars around the world. After a few years, she went to work for Barclays Global Investors, which at the time was one of the largest asset managers in the world. There she worked as a meeting and event planner. In this role, she managed project teams to successfully produce large trade shows and events for the organization. In 2003, Janice decided to return to her alma mater, working for CAAA as the Membership Manager. She was responsible for generating more than half a million dollars each year to support the organization. In 2005, she became the Director of Marketing and Communications for CAAA, serving as acting, interim and then in a permanent capacity overseeing all of CAAA’s integrated marketing and communications efforts. Since 2008, Janice has served as the Associate Executive Director of CAAA. She has been responsible for human resources, risk management, technology, marketing and communications, revenue generating efforts and development.
