PURPOSE

To establish a uniform process for staff who would like access to subscription services.

TIMELINE

A Communications team member will respond to each request within 24 hours of receiving an inquiry. Priorities will vary depending on the urgency of the request.

SERVICES DEFINED

Subscription services are online tools that support communication efforts. The FOA Communications office has purchased annual subscriptions for communications purposes and products, and may give access to departments who have use for such services. Please be advised that due to the volume of requests for access, we may not be able to grant access to everyone.

Canva

Canva is a photo editing tool that allows users to create various types of documents, including brochures, reports, newsletters, and many more. Canva allows users to add effects, text, icons, and texture to photos.

Piktochart

Piktochart is an infographic design program that helps to quickly produce high quality infographics and reports.

JotForm

JotForm is an online form builder that allows users to embed to their websites, in order to collect data, surveys, information, etc. Forms are already widely used across campus by various departments, and make it easy to collect responses for various tasks.

MailChimp

MailChimp is an email marketing tool that helps create professional looking emails, newsletters and announcements. MailChimp has email templates ready to use, or the ability to create your own template. Email contact lists can be uploaded and saved for future use. The automation in MailChimp allows for ease and speed of use, and helps increase awareness when a department has news to share.

PROCEDURE

Submit a request for access to subscription services by emailing FOACommunications@ucdavis.edu, and include which services you need access to.
